Treatment Philosophy:
As a society, we've come a long way in our attitudes toward alcoholism and substance abuse since Bill W. founded Alcoholics Anonymous seven decades ago. Although today science still doesn't entirely understand the troubling world of addictions, in the more pragmatic realm of treatment, we've made great progress in recovery rates over the years - even as we await and welcome every new advance in science and medicine that may assist us in treatment.

Program Phases:

• PHASE I: Our comprehensive chemical dependency treatment program provides 90-day residential extended care. The client entering this program will have a complete psychiatric evaluation for medication monitoring. A primary therapist will be assigned, and the client will have at minimum, one private session with the therapist per week. Group therapy is also an essential.
• PHASE II: For the client who has completed A Sober Way Home's comprehensive 90-day program or comes to us directly from another inpatient treatment facility, our 30 to 90-day residential program provides on effective transition from primary treatment to the structured sober living environment.
• PHASE III: For the client with six months of sobriety and full-time employment, and who has completed at least eight of the twelve steps in our program. The client must have a sponsor, agree to at least four AA commitments per week and work with others; the client is also encouraged to pay his or her own rent or contribute to rent as income level allows.
