Nutrition Group – A Sober Way Home
Our weekly nutritional group educates our clients about meaning of truly “eating well” to optimize their physical, emotional and mental well-being. Portion control, nutritional values of foods, and common benefits of balancing oneself through holistic nutrition are all discussed.
Erik Ruminski has been an Executive Chef for over 14 years in various arenas of the Food & Beverage Industry. He is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI and has spent a number of years training in Europe. He has worked for many of the major Hotel and Resort Companies throughout the United States and has spent time working with major universities on their culinary and catering programs. Erik has owned his own restaurant in Chicago which focused on healthy and sustainable menu items as well as a catering company and cooking school. He has been featured on Food Network as well as many publications across the country. “Healthy recovery of the mind, body, and spirit is greatly influenced by what we put in our bodies”.
Erik believes food and cooking should be fun and hopes to develop lasting practices that clients are able to take back with them into their daily lives.
